BCS, Inc.

Employer's Perspective:
At BCS, we value our employees and pride ourselves on offering an industry-leading benefits package. We make great effort to be understanding, supportive, and accommodating to employees during different life events. Our Support for Breastfeeding policy is just one example of how we support our employees.
BCS recognizes the well-documented health advantages of breastfeeding, and we place great importance on providing a supportive environment that enables employees to continue providing this source of nutrition to their infants after returning to work. We work with employees and their managers on a case-by-case basis to figure out what arrangement works best for them - whether that's using a separate lactation room, helping them to ensure privacy in their own office, or assigning them a new office until it is no longer needed. We do this at each of our office locations. Our Human Resources department serves as the point of contact to help coordinate what is needed for the nursing mother.

Employee's Reaction:
"I really appreciated knowing that I could return from leave and use a private room to express milk. As a mother, I want to do what is best for my child - part of that is nursing, and another part requires me to work. With BCS, I knew that I could do both. This was one thing I didn't have to worry about, which is extremely helpful when all you do is worry as a mother of a newborn!"
