We strive to serve as an example to our greater community that supporting breastfeeding employees is doable, not difficult, and benefits not only employees but also benefits us as an employer.

    GCHD has 3 clinic rooms with comfortable chairs that staff can choose to pump, an office, or an appropriate space in their office areas. We have a pump on a cart if they want mobility. We purchase double pump kits that are free for employees. If we have an employee who is pregnant, a lactation consultant will make contact and offer support. We will make contact with and assist discuss pumping, returning to work, and if necessary meet with their supervisor.
