Community of Hope Family Health & Birth Center

Employer's Perspective:
We provide full circle lactation support here. Prenatally our patients are educated on breastfeeding, after birth, the midwives encourage skin to skin contact and latching as soon as possible. When they come back after birth we give support with our twice weekly Latch Clinic. We try to cocoon our mothers and babies with the breastfeeding norm so that they can meet their breastfeeding goals. Furthermore, our whole clinic is involved and committed to supporting, promoting, and protecting breastfeeding. We have lunch and learn about various topics including tongue tie and breastfeeding policies for staff. The whole clinic works towards supporting breastfeeding. Lately, we've benefited by reviewing and participating in the Baby Friendly Initiative - further buttressing our commitment to breastfeeding.
