Kaiser Permanente supports breastfeeding mothers from the start. All new moms receive a newborn assessment. There is also a "warm line' dedicated to answering questions that may arise. The workplace lactation rooms are small for now but they are working on getting better ones. Ann Jordan, RN in the Pre-Natal program has been overseeing all of this. Shannon Hines, Director of Health Education Promotion and Women's Health at Kaiser is pictured along with Ann Jordan, DC Breastfeeding Coalition.s Dr. Sahira Long and Sharon Swinburne of Medela. Kaiser Permanente received a Silver Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplace Award. Recognized here (kp.org)
